Aladdin
This year’s Junior Showcase took place in Girdwood Community Hub on Tuesday 11th April 2017. Over 60 young people performed the much loved tale of Aladdin to over 200 family and friends. With quick witted performances Widow Twanky, Aladdin and the Emperor, audiences enjoyed an evening of fun filled entertainment.
Arts Academy - Adult Drama Class
We are delighted to be starting this brand new Drama Class for Adults.
It is open to all levels of experience and offers training in voice, movement and improvisation skills and text work.

This year’s annual North Belfast Pantomime led by Ashton Community Trust and produced by New Lodge Arts was the much loved tale – Beauty and the Beast. Young people from local communities including Cliftonville, Shankill, New Lodge and Westland took to the stage in Girdwood Community Hub on 6th & 7th December 2016.
A group of young leaders (aged 14-17 years), have recently completed their OCN qualification, Leadership in Youth Work OCN (Level 2). This qualification was delivered over around 16 sessions, with all young people committing fully both in and out of sessions. In total the young people contributed at least 40 hours work to this. The content of the qualification focused on the basics of youth work, communication and teaching young people how to plan and deliver a youth work session.

Up to 4,000 revellers - led by Willy Wonka and his trusty Oompa Loompas - are set to flock to Belfast's Alexandra Park this month to participate for the annual North Belfast Lantern Parade which is this year celebrating the work of Roald Dahl.
