Anne has worked with New Lodge Arts since August 2012.  ' I am responsible for managing staff and artists, securing funding, overseeing finance and managing the delivery of a diverse programme of arts based projects and events primarily for young peopel across north Belfast.  We are continually expanding our projects and I love to see the organisation grow and develop.  A huge strength is our committed staff team who give over their roles to make the organisation the success it is today.  We all love working with young people and seeing the postive impact of our projects makes it all worthwhile!'

'Orla Hawkins, Project Co-ordinator. orla.hawkins@ashtoncentre.com

'My role involves managing and delivering The Agency Programme, working directly with young people from across north Belfast every Saturday and Tuesday evening (during term time). The Agency is a collaborative project directed at engaging and empowering young people within local communities to plan, structure and deliver their own projects. Using a methodology developed for working with young people living below the poverty line in Brazil, the project provides development opportunities for young people in the UK, helping them to launch social enterprises and ambitious projects that positively impact the local area. The Agency is a National Programme established in 2013, by Battersea Arts Centre (BAC), Contact Theatre and Peoples Palace Projects. It has been delivered in Manchester, London, Belfast (New Lodge Arts), Cardiff and Southampton. With sustained support from our funders we are building on the strong foundations of the programme to continue to grow nationally, with more partners interested in the social impact of this creative methodology.

The Agency UK is a Battersea Arts Centre and Contact programme devised in partnership with People's Palace Projects. National Network funded by the National Lottery Community Fund. The Agency is funded in Belfast by the Kristian Gerhard Jebsen Foundation.

We will be recruiting soon for the next delivery period of the Agency, starting in Septemenr 2024! To apply please visit Belfast — The Agency. Change Makers. (wearetheagency.co) to apply!
