The Youth Advisory Group is a group of young people aged 13+ years will support and advise on the direction and work of New Lodge Arts. Group members are involved in:
· Information/group sessions focusing on different topics and areas of development: leadership, communication, decision-making & much more.
· Teambuilding activities.
· Professional training in the roles and responsibilities within a board of directors.
· Opportunities to come up with ideas for new projects, new funding ideas, new groups for young people and much more.
· Personal and Social development work.
· Making decisions within New Lodge Arts.
· Representing young people in north Belfast.
This group provides an opportunity for young people to be a voice and representative for young people of their area, to demonstrate how young people can be role positive role models and be active citizens within north Belfast.
Our current Youth Advisory Group are all aged between 13 & 17 years old and are from different communities across north Belfast and Newtonabbey.
