Aladdin
This year’s Junior Showcase took place in Girdwood Community Hub on Tuesday 11th April 2017. Over 60 young people performed the much loved tale of Aladdin to over 200 family and friends. With quick witted performances Widow Twanky, Aladdin and the Emperor, audiences enjoyed an evening of fun filled entertainment.
Little performers from Fancy Feet, Ballet, Pop Video and Drama classes have been working on the show since January. The talent on stage was fantastic and we are very proud of what the young people achieved in such a short space of time.
A big thank you to Sarah Davies and Brona Jackson who have led the classes over the last 4 years. The tutors are very committed to supporting the development of the young people and continue to work tirelessly to create fantastic showcases. We couldn’t do without the support of Rebecca Service and Orla Hawkins who are the youth support workers for the classes. They were there on hand on the night managing all the action back stage.
