Inner North Youth Platform
The Inner North Youth Platform provides a platform for young people from across Inner North Belfast to work together and learn more about each other in a safe and supported environment. The group is made up of 15 young people from different communities across inner north Belfast. The purpose of this group is to develop its members into young leaders who will act as advocates, representing young people from all over inner north Belfast. The group promotes cultural awareness, challenges stereotypes and tackles issues faced by young people from within their communities.
The group meet up on a weekly basis, with youth workers, to discuss relevant and current issues, learn different skills (leadership, communication and facilitation), take part in team building activities, group exercises, discussions and much more.
The group are working towards planning their own youth-led conference for young people, providing young people from inner north Belfast with the opportunity to have their voices heard.
